Hello! My name is Pastor Matt Jones and I am the Pastor here at 1st Presbyterian Church in Monte Vista. My wife, Gayle, and I are and I came to Monte Vista from Oklahoma City in early March of 2025, to serve God, First Presbyterian Church and the surrounding community in the love and good news of Jesus Christ. This church has been around a long time and has always upheld the Bible as the Word of God. Our congregation is made up of people of all ages and various occupations. We have farmers, business people, school teachers and a few retired folks. We want new people to come and find out what God is doing and join Him in it. I invite you to come to our service at 11:00 on Sunday mornings. You can expect a traditional Presbyterian service with a lot of heart and personality from me and those who help lead worship.
